The villains are absolutely my favorite in the series (I stopped playing after Black Flag). You should at least play Rogue sometime. It's the hidden gem of the 7th-gen Assassin's Creed games, and kind of plays like a "greatest hits" compilation of the best bits of gameplay from 2, 3, and 4.

If you’re aiming to complete the main story of Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, then it’s going to take you around 22 hours. Completing both side quests and the main story will take around 40 hours while a completionist run of the game will take around 60 hours.
7/10 – I don’t know how else to describe this DLC than pointless. Aveline is a fine character and I think her game is very underrated, but this short 45 minute adventure added nothing to the Black Flag, AC3, or Liberation’s stories, introduced a character that might be interesting, but will never see again, and overall added nothing.
