If you split pixels, this inexpensive lens is clearly superior to the f/1.4 version. The 50mm f/1.2 L might be about as sharp, but has much more distortion. The Canon 50mm f/2.5 Compact-Macro is a superb choice as an all-around 50mm lens. it is the sharpest and the least distorting of any Canon 50mm lens.

The Canon EF 100mm F2.0 USM has been in Canon's lineup since for more than 20 years (which makes some of us feel very old indeed) but remains an excellent choice for portraiture and available-light photography on both full-frame and APS-C Canon DSLRs.

Canon has finally started to address this with a new spate of lens releases including some more affordable options. I’ve been looking at two of those lenses – Canon RF 85mm F2 IS STM and the Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM. Today we are focusing on the former lens, a reasonably priced 85mm lens with one unusual characteristic; it is a 1:2 (half life Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM: Cons Samyang AF 35-150mm f/2-2.8 FE Lens Review. The Canon EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens' angle of view is so wide that getting adequate flash coverage can be a problem. Expect to minimally need a flash with a built-in flip-down diffuser to cover the frame on a 1.3x or 1.6x FOVCF body. A Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce Diffuser will yield complete flash coverage on all bodies. Canon EOS-1D X @ 300mm, ISO 12800, 1/800, f/11.0. From a handling perspective, the lens operates very well with the focusing ring being very well-dampened. Due to its relatively manageable weight, the EF 300mm f/2.8L IS USM is somewhat easy to handhold. For those that like hand-holding their telephoto lenses as I do, a lens’ balance point
Verdict. Sold as the Laowa 100mm f/2.8 2x Ultra Macro APO or Laowa 100mm f/2.8 CA-Dreamer Macro 2X, this remarkable lens from Venus Optics gives twice the maximum magnification of most macro lenses. There are two very similar versions of this lens. The original was designed for full-frame DSLRs, and is available in Canon EF and Nikon F mount.

The launch of Canon’s RF 100-300mm f/2.8 L IS lens has triggered lens lust in many photographers. Weighing just a fraction more than the previous EF 300mm f/2.8 prime lens and eliminating the need for a 70-200mm f/2.8, this might be the Holy Grail of telephoto zooms for a certain group of photographers. This lens is sharp, very sharp, sharp throughout the entire zoom and aperture range. The build quality is pro, focus and zoom are internal. This is probably my favorite lens right now. This lens holds up in quality to the 70-200L, and some believe it is a bit sharper across the board. It is a wonderful mid range zoom. Cons. Lacks optical stabilization. The Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L USM II is famous for its beautiful bokeh and its ability to isolate the main subject within a scene. Coupled with an ideal focal length, this makes it a long-standing favorite with some of the world’s greatest portrait photographers.
