until level 80 is the tutorial - at that point either complete base game exploration to 100% or buy the dlc. Fractals are something you can try to do every day. To be more specific, just do the daily fractals, so you slowly progress through the lower levels untill you got enough agony resistance for higher levels.

Then you need 30 level 20 minimum characters, 15 level 30s, 10 level 50's, 6 level 60's and 3 level 80's (although only 2 need to do the last few steps and only 1 needs to do Victory or Death). I was responding to the OP, who specifically pointed out they had no interest in redoing the story.

Exotic back items are actually not that easy or cheap to come by. Your best approach is probably to go strait for ascended back items. If you have access to specific living world episodes from season 3, 4 or 5, it shouldn't be to difficult or long.
Reaching to 30 level is about 1-2 hours job, it is not slow process after steam release and the game truly starts at 80 lvl. Tbh, I used 80 level booster and explored low level maps after that and I regret that since the day 1. The problem is everythirg about your character is in your table and you dont know what you need to use properly.
There's a pretty good variety of level-appropriate zones for any level range. Hell, I even went back and did some of Queensdale when I got (extremely) burnt out in Mount Maelstrom. There will always be a class you love, but a class that you love more.

Gw2 works differently from most games. In most games, you have 'vertical progression', aka, you need to do one thing to unlock another, which unlocks another etc etc (think about wow, bdo etc). Gw2 however, uses horizontal progression. Meaning, once you hit level 80, you can do virtually any game mode, any dungeon, map, wvw,

Gw2 on the other hand, while tbf it takes like one session now to get to 80 thanks to the achievements they added last year, if it wasn't for that, I would not put myself through HOURS of repetitive world exploration just to get my 6th alt up to raiding level. Once was enough, and it felt like forever. Second time? Feels like a chore. In Guild Wars 2 your character doesn't get [substantially] better the more hours you play, you do. ^ Being in BiS gear means close to nothing if you don't know how to play the game because of the active-combat system.
Now I've just reached Level 80 and am halfway through my level 80 Personal Story. But now I've hit a roadblock. So I've been playing on the main Tyria map and my experience bar has gotten full. As far as I can work out, I can now transfer this bar to Mastery Points. HOWEVER I can't start training Masteries unless I play one of the expansions.
If it were me making a new account and I had just hit level 80, there are three places I would immediately think to go: Silverwastes for profit. Fractals for ascended items, especially early trinkets. WvW just because I love the game mode. I imagine you've done all the personal story and dungeons on your way up to 80, but in case you don't know Guild Wars 2 is not World of Warcraft. The game doesn't start at 80. The game doesn't start at 80. I was stuck in a dungeon run the other day with someone who had bought the game, learned that the fastest way to grind levels was Edge of the Mists, done that, and then started running dungeons.

GW2 is quite a bit different from traditional "endless level/gear climb" from other MMOs. Once you level to 80 and get the best in service gear, you're almost set for life (well, balance patches may shake the meta up, but it isn't hard to adapt yourself).

Home. Game Discussion. Guild Wars 2 Discussion. Level 80 Ravens. So I've been noticing these Ravens wherever I go. No matter the level of the map the raven is always level 80. It's not a juvenile or pet its an npc that i can't interact with. It stays around for a bit and disappears. What is the purpose of this raven.
But as VeeSlays already stated, I would recommend to NOT use it on your first character, because the leveling process is kind of an extended tutorial and unlocking the mechanics step by step helps you to learn all these systems without getting overwhelmed.
