Instinct is more linear and arcadey. It was originally put out because the very first Xbox couldn't really handle the open world Far Cry Classic, then Instinct Predator was ported to the 360 and the original Far Cry eventually made it to the 360 anyway. It's an embellished and more fantastical version of Far Cry 1 and then a sequel of that version of Far Cry 1. Instincts was my entry point into Far Cry back when it was first released, and I adore it. It is nothing like the newer games, but it is still pretty fun. You get super speed!
