Speed limits don't match. Despite road signs with a speed limit of 50 or 70, it displays 80 on the navigation. In every city I have no speed limit and I drive 80 km/h without a fine.
Laws in U.S. are different from EU. In the states a truck can drive up to 85 mph which translates to 137 km/h while in europe the standard speed for trucks (with trailer) are 80 km/h or 50 mph. Maybe is some parts of Texas. Most of the US is 65-70 MPH, and trucks in California are limited to 55 MPH legally. #12.

Limits are not good for me, I hate California's 55 MPH limit. Usually I run 70-75 with my 525 horse W900 or 389 and an 18 speed. Not really. In ETS2 I outright turned fines off because the 56MPH truck speed limit was fucking ridiculous and in ATS I usually run about 75-80 if the road will allow.

If you want to go faster (up to 155km/h, maybe even 160km/h) try other trucks like Renault Magnum or Scania Streamline. The smallest details always make the biggest difference.
